What to dress poorly baby in overnight

Advice please. My lo is 9months and has a viral throat infection with a high temp and diarrhoea. (Infection diagnosed by dr), he’s spent the day in a nappy and short sleeved vest. What do I put him in over night though as the house will be cooler than during the day. I don’t want him to get too cold just in a vest, but second guessing myself on what to put him in overnight. Temp is approx 38.8. Thank you in advance for any advice. Ps he’ll start the night in his cot but will no doubt end up in my bed at some point for the rest of the night.

I would put him in a long sleeved thin baby grow, and a 1 tog grobag.
Remove grobag before coming in with you as he'll share your body heat.
Poor lamb, hope he feels better soon

Thank you @queenfreak the lowest tog sleeping bag I currently have is 1.5. Will that still be ok?

I'm sure it will.
If you are worried you can always put him in a 2 piece instead of baby grow (doesn't need to be pjs- thin long sleeved t shirt and leggings are fine)- that would probably be cooler.
You can always leave his window open on bleed too. (My dd window is always on bleed, as is ours). Fresh air will do him good, stop the room for getting too warm (unless you are on a Scottish island, then it may be too cold!)

When DS had a temperature we put him in a long sleeved vest, nappy and grobag outs was a 2 tog but it was a couple of months ago and it bedrooms are fairly warm even without the heating on
