What do you do first? Sort child maintenance? Or do you see how it goes with the father giving a specific amount in your hand each week..when does he have to see the child? I don't feel happy with him staying over.. advice please

Do you know how much he earns? They use the online calculator to work out child maintenance. If you don’t trust him or you can want a mortgage anytime soon then go through CSA.

Has he mentioned seeing his child, ask when he would like to have him and negotiate from there.

Have him pay the child maintenance in to your bank account, you need a paper trail (and so does he really).
Access you'll have to negotiate. Your DC is two so depending on your exs living arrangements I think overnights are pretty likely unless there's issues you haven't mentioned. But it's up to yourselves to sort that unless you go through the courts.
