My nearly 2.5 girl (she was born in December 2016) has decided she no longer wants nappies ("No nappiiiies! Knickeeeers!"), so we have been potty training her for about a week. It is still much more misses than hits though, and she would fairly often refuse to go on the potty - though on other times she would happily go, and she has also shown the initiative to go herself when she needed, including for some poos.
She goes to nursery full time though, and at nursery so far she has only peed in the potty once or twice, and I am under the impression that the carers there would like me to stop and have another go in a couple of months.
I am a bit torn because whilst it's still more misses than hits, she has shown she can do it plus she is determinded that she does not want nappies. She is my second but my eldest is a boy and was born 2 months premature and is not someone who would throw himself into new things, so we ended up waiting until he was 3 so I don't really have much in terms of comparison. Could it be that she is actualy not ready even if she wants it so much?
