Slings in hot weather and what to wear

I use a strechy sling with my 10 week old so he has 3 layers on due to the sling. If its as hot as today, should he just be in a vest? And should i be making sure his feet are covered by the sling or socks - im very pale so i worry about the sun!

I'd say just a vest plus sun block and a hat, You could drape a large muslin over exposed bits.

Dont think they can use sun lotion under 6 months? I have an umbrella to shade LO when out in the sling, although not actually tested it out yet. Am wondering about some really loose light white bottoms for him? Feet out of the sling for sure though.

#2 was a sweaty little bugger so we invested in a Connecta Solarweave when she was 9 weeks, it's breathable and the material was SPF 50.

On warmer days she just wore a vest/short romper or just a nappy. Feet out and a sun hat on (one with a velcro chin strap so it stayed on) and I just tried to walk in the shade wherever possible.

Short romper or vest and a hat. No to sun block and muslin. Use a large umbrella to shade you both.
