A good starter resource to use to communicate with DD/DS, especially in creating their first online account.

The cartoons are easy to understand - i used it on DS who will be of internet age soon. However, the internet is like a big ocean, i worry the school and us will never teach the kids enough to handle the internet if they get into some online trouble. So, open communication is still of paramount importance, at least if there is trouble, there is a few of us to work things out together.

i fully agree. Now, DD is still young so open communication is still alright. My sister's DS started keeping to himself more as he grew towards teenagehood, communication just got harder. Now, i just keep "nagging" to DD that if she ever starts an Internet account at school or with her friends, let us know and NEVER use her real name anywhere online.
