I tried cloth nappy tree which was excellent 10+ years ago but it was pretty dead.

Any ideas?

Try cloth bum mums on FB. Think they have a buy and sell group.

Look it for NCT sales in your area, they normally have them March/ April, and you can pick up very good, almost new cloth nappies for a bargain. You can also contact your local council (look on their web pages) who will put you in contact with their cloth nappy rep, you can then borrow a various nappies to see which are best.

The Nappy Lady second hand group on FB - so popular that the only downside is that things sell out within 10-30 mins of posting! Worth doing an 'in search of' if there's anything you particularly want.

Also things have come on a lot on the last 5 or so years with modern fibres (and gorgeous prints) - I second the pps suggestion about seeing if your council has a cloth nappy scheme, and/or if you head to the Nappy Lady website you can fill out a form and she will send you a personalised recommendation, that was really helpful for me and quite a few of my friends
