Ok, I don't want to become someone obsessed over poo, but DD normally poos at least every other feed of not more and now she hasn't pooed in nearly 24hours. She appears quite uncomfortable, but has been suffering from really bad wind anyway so has been uncomfy from that.

She is breastfed and 2 and a half weeks old.

Hi bumperlicious

Firstly congratulations on the birth of your daughter!!

Secondly, please don't stress that she hasn't pooed.
She is only 2 weeks old and although that seems quite a long time to you right now, it isn't long in terms of babies and their insides finding routines.
Over the next few months she will change how often she poos and what colour and consistency it comes out almost as often as you change her nappies.

It is perfectly normal for a breastfed baby to poo anything between every change and once every 5 days. As long as she is happy, not uncomfortable and is drinking and sleeping normally, you have no reason to worry.

Don't panic, just enjoy the fact that you haven't had to clear up any messy poo for almost an entire day!!

Good luck with it all!!!

If it helps - mine went 10 days once without pooing (even tried layin him on my clean, fresh changed bedding with no nappy on in and twisted attempt to tempt fate ) - he was fine, and there was no huge explosion at the end of it. He obviously just used everything that was goig in him that week

I still find it disconcerting when no poo, but also try not to obsess.

Left my DS on floor yesterday while I got a shower, went to him 10 mins later, poo everywhere, all over hands, floor and legs. Hands had not quite made it into mouth.

He is weaned so it was firm... but stank.
