Dd expects photo of real fairy

So my DD, 7, has thought of a foolproof way of discovering if fairies are real. She has a fairy door in her room and a mailbox and this is where the tooth fairy leaves her money and occasionally notes. So tonight she has written a letter to the fairy with instructions how to take a selfie with her tablet. I can't find a believable image for her so should I just leave it? I can't bear for her to be disappointed in the morning!

I agree with BHS towel. Moreover, it might be time to decrease the intensity of the make- believe.
Do you want her to be a bit disappointed or very disappointed when she eventually figures it out?

This is so sweet.

@abigailthespiderinthehat please come back and tell us what you wrote and what your DD said!

I did a great Santa Photoshop once, my kids who were 7 at the time were most impressed. You could mess around with a small indistinct glow.

Our little smartarse DC left a note under their pillow for the Tooth Fairy that said if you want the tooth, you have to find it. Tooth Fairy left them a note saying she was too busy to play games and if it wasn't under the pillow the next night she would never return again. That note worked and it was there the next night.

Tooth Fairy has very small writing. That was fun.

So I wrote a note explaining that magical creatures are afraid to have their picture taken and DD was a little disappointed but she accepted it. She did wonder why the fairy (Sophia!) didn't take the little comb she left for her. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Tonight she has left the comb again with a list of jokes that she has made up and fairy Sophia has to tick which ones are funny!

Why is the tooth fairy even visiting when no teeth have fallen out?

00100001 · 28/02/2019 17:32

Oh... Ignore me. I invented the tooth fairy....

I've had to leave notes from the faries too. My dd requested a school visit
