I can not sleep, you think I'm over acting but I feel so bad what I have done.
I thought I could be a hair dresser in the moment and took a chunk out of the side of my sons hair out as I'd never used clippers befor I didn't realise you has to turn it up and down.
So as you may assume I did the worst thing possible and try to fix it and iv only done it worst, hes litraly got a 0 to 1 on the lower back of his hair. I'm waiting for 9.00am so i can go straight to the Barbershop and for them to fix it but I dont what what there going to do iv been looking all night on google for names of hair styles but I dont know what they call it when the top gose to the side and the sides are short.

Short back and sides. The barbours will fix it, they will just cut it short.

Most barbours open earlier than 9am

Don't worry! I actually think it's hilarious as I've done the same. 😂 my son has curly hair and it was getting in his eyes so after the bath I cut it not realising when it dries it goes shorter. Well he ended up looking like the guy off dumb and dumber with a mushroom haircut. Evryone laughed and t grew back in about two weeks!

Thanks drongosnetflix for the advice in the end I was to embarrassed and made my brother take him in for a cut lol. Two Barbara shops sent him away saying they couldnt do anything with it so went to a Turkish Barbara and they have make him look like hes come out of prison. Hopefuly i can laugh about it in the future Lovley36 but right now hes lapping up my guilty conscience as iv brought him Lego and sweets to eason his embarrasment. Lol

my grandad did this to my brother once. as he kept messing it up it just kept getting shorter and shorter until he was practically a skinhead 😂 it soon grew back though and my mum always took him to a proper barber after that.

Look on it as a rite of passage for the both of you. At some point every mother inflicts a terrible haircut on her child. In the 1980s the difference was that mother's were much more casual about said terrible haircuts. They'd saved themselves a couple of quid, so what harm that their child looked like a hedgehog Grin

This made me laugh, doesn't every parent do this and then live to regret it? Or is it just me Grin

Justagirlwholovesaboy · 12/02/2019 02:02

This reminds me of the time my sister decided to be a hairdresser and put layers in my hair, instead she gave me a mullet. Difference was I had to go into work like this!

That's the fun of being a parent, you get to cut your kids' hair. It grows back and then they get older and won't let you near them with scissors.
