Looking for advice on what is reasonable access for my 6 month old baby.
His dad moved back in with his parents when we split. He is 200km away. He is keen to be a good dad.
I want to try and reach a reasonable agreement with him on access. It is a 400km round trip for him to visit and it takes 5 hours for him to drive.
How much access should I give?
What would be practical given the distance?
How often? What would be practical?????
How could overnights ever ever be possible if he lives 200km away?
I am trying to figure out what would be practical given the 200km distance? Any advice please?

For a baby that age your ex needs to visit where you live. What is he prepared to do?

Is he able to maybe get a Travelodge near you maybe every other weekend then he can see the baby over the weekend. It would be a very long time before I'd let the baby travel that far with him. To be honest I think because he's the one that moved so far away he needs to suck up driving for 5 hours to you.

He moved, he travels.
It's a very long way for a baby to be travelling on a regular basis.

He needs to come to you until the baby is older. Personally I'd consider overnights from 18 months or so. But tbh it would still be better if he came to you as 5 hours in the car is no fun for young kids.
