So not to bright for the baby but can easily be clipped on a book?

you can get a kindle with a backlight, so you dont need to negotiate an extra lamp on the top of the book

Romanov · 06/02/2019 19:32

(which of course you have said, apologies, its been a long day)

I got clip on book lights for the kids for Christmas from tiger tiger. Will see if i can find a link.

Consider a small Himalayan salt lamp. I love mine. It produces a warm and subtle light you can read by and won't bother other people sleeping in the room.

ShowOfHands · 06/02/2019 19:36

I find clip on book lights useless and fiddly.

tilder · 06/02/2019 19:40

Ok, flying tiger. Not tiger tiger.

Couldn't find on the website but they are basically mini angle poise lamps. Clip on to your book.

TarragonSauce · 06/02/2019 19:42

You can get a kindle cover with a built in light which you just click out when needed.

I know you have the books, but with holding a baby and lighting, it is much more of a faff. I use the kindle app on my phone and changed the settings so it is white writing on black background. Easy to see at night and not too bright. I find it better for headache than backlighting.

Hmm OK thanks. I am abit concerned about the fiddliness but thought I would try as its a good chunk of day I could be reading....I've only read one book in nearly 16 months Sad so so busy

The bendy man is just that, he'll bend around whatever size book you have. He bends at the knees, waist and arms. He's very light so doesn't add extra weight. I like him!

purplecorkheart · 07/02/2019 19:44

I picked one up in a pound shop (I bought a few of them). I clip it on to the back cover. You can adjust it just to hit the page.It gives plenty of light on the page but is not bright enough to see your wrist while holding the book.

Merename · 07/02/2019 21:34

I also have the lumie light, fully dimmable and not fiddly so you just set it to lowest level you need to see.

WhatNow40 · 08/02/2019 07:50

Yes definitely. It just bends around the top and the little eyes point down the page. I use it in bed when I can't sleep as DH moans otherwise. The problem I've found with other clip on s is how heavy they are.
