School have decided not only is our world book day theme "books" but has a sub theme of classic British children's literature. I have 3 kids, girls and boy. Can anyone help with ideas?

I'm thinking possibly Peter pan, Alice in wonderland, a lot of the things I can think of just involve dressing as children (Enyd blyton Charles dickens etc) which although low effort, it's not going to be obvious who they are x

I think you've answered your own question. Famous Five (trousers and casual tops, maybe a stuffed toy dog for Timmy?) or Peter Pan kids (nightware) would be easy. The children from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe?

Peter, Susan, Lucy and Micheal (I think?) - raid charity shop for old fashioned tank tops and skirts, wrap boxes in brown paper on string round necks for evacuee look?

Wizard of Oz was original a book don't forget....

The Borrowers?

Wind in the Willows? One Badger, Rat, mole or frog? Dressed in human clothes with face paint?
