and did it turn out how you expected? I am 34 and wanted to have a family but I never really wanted a baby and I never really felt very broody, more curious really and didn't want to regret not having kids later on when too late. Also if you don't have kids what else are you going to do for the next 20 years. I suppose not having any expectations means I couldn't really be disappointed! Of course realy love my dd now she is here, but I am also looking forward to her getting older and more interesting. Does anyone else feel this way?

Never ever felt broody before I met dh.

Then I knew instantly that I wanted a child with him - he was the clincher for me. I could see him as a really good dad.

I'd just thought I wasn't the maternal type before that.

DH really really wanted kids. I kind of wanted kids but wasn't sure. I think I knew in my heart of hearts it would be me who stayed at home with them and the biggest change would be for my life. That's why I was more hesitant than he.

We've got two now. I love the bones of them and mostly enjoy being a SAHM but I AM starting to feel like I'm missing out on some stuff. But that's life I guess. Whatever you think, you can't have everything. Ooooh, I sound all adult!
