The joys of parenthood - not for the faint hearted

I really love being a mum but had a funny moment I wanted to share....

So, i’m a single mum, tonight I have my nit lotion on and just beginnin* to settle for the evening. The kids have not long gone to bed when one rushes in to advise the other has been sick. Mostly caught in a bin (designed with a holey pattern which managed to contain the vomit reasonably well).

I don’t cope well with vomit - I used to before I had kids but for some reason I no longer can. So trying to empty the vomit bin made me gag and vomit.

So nit treated kids and sorted out vomit self and child. I’m not too impressed with myself but I am glad I was able to sort it.

It's really cute and good that your kids are so amazing. They understand you and help you it is really a lovable thing for every mother.

You did really well OP, vomiting is actually arguably the worse part of being a parent.

Vomit is still very gross to me even though I have to deal with vomit numerous times so it does not make me gag. In a previous life I was a taxi driver and had quite a few clients puke in the back of cab. Then I had DD who is an epileptic and pukes after seizures...

Although the worse for me is I can faint at the sight of blood, I have fainted twice when DD was has had medical procedures involving a lot of blood.

^Oh and I am also a single parent, and it is hard being the only one when sickness occurs.

My kids argue and fight but they are there for each other when needed. In this case running around for bin bags and getting her sister a drink of water.

My daughter tried to wangle a day off school [unsuccessfully] lol.

Nit lotion and vomit summed up my evening - I am sure today can only be better.

Oh chips - vomiting and seizures how awful. I have never really had to cope with blood and hope I never have to.
