What have you kept from your pregnancies/kids childhoods as keepsakes?

Have you kept things?

I have a box with DS's scan in it, a diary i kept while i was pregnant with him, cards from when he was born, his 1st shoes and 1st babygrow. I've just added his 1st bday cards and candle too.

Scan pictures, hospital bracelets, going home outsits, cards, firsst shoes, first curls, 1st mothers day cards...

I have a memory box for my four month old with cards, hospital bracelets, weight card and two rank things, my used hpt and his umbilical cord clip thing!

I have dd1's dried up cord stump in a tub I have no idea why I thought keeping it would be a good thing as it is REVOLTING and she will not thank me for it! (PFB syndrom I suppose as I would not go near dd2's with a 10ft pole when it fell off and made my mum dispose of it!

oh, other than that have kept one new born size nappy, hospital card thingy and tags. Think I will keep the outfit I took them home from hospital in too

Usual stuff as well, like cards received and 1st b'day cards, 1st shoes and newspapers/magazines from when she was born

ha ha I keot DS1;s dried up gross umbilical stump thingy for ages until I found it again and thought god that is gross and binned it. Had just watched that SATC episode when Miranda's cat runs off with her son's one so that was an impetus too.......

Another dried-up cord stump here too plus wrist tags, his and mine, scan pics, congrats cards - can't think of anything else. Wish I had kept his first babygro though, it's hard to believe he was ever so tiny! Plus more recent mementos, the wisps from his first haircut, his first proper pair of shoes.

My ante-natal notes - I changed hospitals at 8 months so I got to keep the first set, baby scan pics, the newspapers from the day she was born, her first sleepsuit/hat, bellybutton clip (cleaned up!!), first Christmas/birthday cards and I've also shoved in there the love letters/cards from XP. Hospital bracelets, I don't know what else.

Scan pictures of both of them. Ds1's hospital bracelet. New baby cards for both, 1st birthday cards from close family for both. Wish I'd kept one of ds2's baby-gros - he was 4lb 15 and I don't think I'll ever remember just how tiny he really was! Although we do have a picture of him lying next to a banana which gives it some sort of perspective!!

I have scan pics, hospital bracelets, newspapers from the day he was born, tabloid and broadsheet, I did do a diary whilst pregnant and his first six months but can't find it anywhere , the babygrow we bought him home in, my fave outfit of his first months, cards from when born, first shoes, 1st b'day cards, a coin of each denomination from the year born, pictures he has done at nursery... I thinks that's it

cord clip first size nappy vest sleepsuit, cards, pg confirmation from fpc, letter from mw who delivered dd loads cant remember what else in there its all in special box and got one for her first yr will need bigger one ready for the pics painting etc!

I have everything mentioned except the cord. But I have also kept cute outfits from each age and stage right up to the present time. They are now 6, 4 and 2. I also keep all school and nursery work, pictures the lot. I hope they appreciate it. Probably not, but i love it.

An extra ten pounds, mostly around my bum

Hi Toothy, my DS was a monster in comparison at 8lbs 13oz but even so I can't believe he was ever so wee! He has recently discovered that he started life inside my tummy and clearly finds this hilarious - he likes to say that he was inside my tummy but he popped out because he wanted some milk out of my bozzoms!

i've also got a picture of him in his 1st shoes, his cord clip (clean!) and ante-natel appointment cards.

DH bought 2 lovely baby books aswell- i usually think they're horrible- but there's spaces for things like 'what my mother liked to eat when she was pregnant with me' 'what my mother looked like when she was pregnant with me','a picture of my 1st holiday', 'what my parents like most about taking care of me' etc etc. I think when DS is older it'll be nice for him to see all the pictures and feelings associated with him, not just 1st curls and things.

I have all my can photos in thier baby books along with ds1's first haircut (ds2 not had his yet) and thier hospital tags and security bracelets. I have the newspapers from the day they were born to.

Cards from family and friends i kept and the baby grow they were both ot in strieght after they were born.

I have DS1's belly button cord in a sealed bag in his baby book and DFS2's is still lingering in my purse

And i am unfortunatley keeping all the stretchmarks!

Scan pictures, birth details, hospital bands, DS2's name label from the cot (didn't think to nab DS1's!), the sleepsuits both boys were put in after they were born, both boys going home outfits, some cards, first shoes, lock of hair from first hair cut (think I only have DS1's though) & various first cards (Mothers day, Christmas, birthday)

Also have DS1's slipper bag from nursery!

charlee, glad i'm not the only one!! i've got ds' and dds cords along with cord clamps. ds' teeth, dd only just getting hers, hair ditto, scans, favourite outfit, cards.....i've even got the pregnancy test for dd

tibsy me too might get rid of cord tho as not something ds is likely to want ot keep.

forgot about pregnancy tests- i have them in there too!
