DD has always been fairly placid and accepting, never really had any issues with her, had her moments but nothing like this.
For the past couple of weeks she has turned into a terror! Screaming and tantrumming for the slightest reason, not wanting to get dressed and when I do dress her takes it all back off, won’t put shoes on or go out to the car, doesn’t want to sit in her seat and tries to get out, doesn’t want to go to bed etc.
She has also been like this past few weeks at nursery, not wanting to do as she is asked throwing things, not wanting to come home. Nursery are doing a referral to behavioural services as they want to know why she is so angry etc
I try to read her stories at bed time and Lately doesn’t want them although always has had them. She sleeps well, toilet trained fine and eats fairly well.
I work so am finding it really difficult to get her ready and out of the door on time so we aren’t late etc and I’m finding her really difficult to deal with. She is a lovely affectionate child and this isn’t happening all the time sometimes she just does everything asked without an issue!
My DS went to the same nursery and in his last term before starting school he was kind of similar and they referred him, the lady who saw him said it was probably a phase and suggested longer transition period from nursery to school and he has been perfectly fine since he started school
Anyone else had anything like this? Is it just a phase?
