which parts of you and your dps personalities do you hope your child(ren) will and wont have?

i hope cade has my love of reading and writing and my love for listening to music. i hope he also has my love for animals.

i hope he has his fathers drive and motivation and his sense of humour.

i dont want him to have my temper or dps smelly feet and lateness

again- my love of reading/current affairs and sense of humour

fathers hard work ethic.

would not like either of my kids to have my height ( or lack of it)
fathers narrowmindedness in many things.

oh yes i would rather cade had his dads height (6"7) then my height (5"0) definatley

I hope ds will not have mine and dp's alcoholism or weight problems. He could also do without my control freakery and dp's laziness, oh ok, mine and dp's laziness

I hope he will share some of our ethics and our outlook on life

I would like them to have my sharp memory, love of reading and empathy, but not my inability to stand up for myself and my angst.

I would like them to have dh's love of playing sports, and his ability to never ever be embarrassed by anything, but not his spending habits.

Wouldn't want DD to have:

My... anxiety and temper
DH... laziness, sulkiness and occasiocal narrowmindedness

Hope she gets our love of books and passion for life!

I hope he will inherit my musical ability, DH's sensitivity and work-ethic, and our sense of fun.

I hope he doesn't get my rotten temper and DH's occasional sulky bitchiness.

(He's asleep on me atm looking so angelic that I'm sure he'll turn out perfick).

I hope my dd has my sense of adventure, but also my 'sensible head' when necessary!

I hope she doesn't have my dh bad temper, but I think she already has!

I was hoping they wouldn't be as self concsious as I am, but DS1 is very much like I was as a child & is a very anxious child.

I would like them to have their dad's mathmatical ability because I was always useless!

I don't want either of them to have their father's temper!

hmm - they don't need my temper, or impatience, or build, or shortsightedness.

They don't need his allergies or singlemindedness, or his ability to turn his ears off.

They could have his work ethic and energy, my broadmindedness.

Anything else is probably ok.

Sadly I can already see signs of my temper and build !
