What's your daily routine like with a toddler and school aged children

I am wondering what your daily routines are like with young children. Do you do fun activities everyday. Today I have been a bad mom we have watched TV, and done some housework and visited family. I either range from doing lots of fun things for the kids to either dragging them around food shopping or staying in and cleaning and the odd TV day. Do any of u have days like this.. How can I be more consistently proactive, I have just stopped making the effort I used to.

i definitely have days like that, don't worry! I try to get the kids out the house at least once a day (anywhere- the supermarket, the park) and with my younger kids we sometimes get out some mini whiteboards and practice writing.

Mix of everything.
Today we went to the supermarket, dropped some stuff off I’d sold on Facebook, decorated a biscuit, played toys, watched tv, had family pop in for 10 mins.
Other days we will do a toddler group or soft play and littlest will get my undivided attention.

I’ve got flu and feeling crap so poor DC2 has had CBeebies all day apart from the school run to take and collect DC1.

Normally though I get out every day, I need to as I’m a single parent so need to hear adult voices or it gets a bit mundane. I’ll go to the supermarket/shops or a quick stop at the park. Playgroup between 1 and 3 times a week. Maybe the library or a museum once and visiting family once a week too.

I'm at home 2 days which works well as I am done with toddler groups after 6 years. We see friends with babies, family, play, clean, do errands etc. Occasionally play group type activity.

Other days he has one play group with his nanny then 2 days preschool. He is nearly 3. School children in ks1 they have swimming one night, piano the other and that is it.

Also "bad mum" is self flagellating crap. Just own it. Have a day doing nothing and accept it. We've had a lot of illness this weekend and did nothing today. It's fine and the world kept turning.

TV in the pm, oven food for tea, bath and bed.
