Possibility of being pregnant on Mirena.

Any parents on here get pregnant on the Mirena? Having a few symptoms (have twin DC) and worried about being pregnant.

I had the Mirena put in September 2017. At my 6 week coil check I was told that my strings were really short and curled so I wouldn’t be able to feel them myself but to go back if my periods changed.

It completely stopped my periods until 2 months ago where I had two normal ish pre Mirena periods. I couldn’t really go get checked at the time as it was around the summer holidays and I couldn’t take DC and OH is always at work.

No period this month but I feel a bit bleugh. I’ve had two coils so I know that sometimes they can give you pms even when you don’t actually see any blood.

But the last couple weeks I’ve been ridiculously tired, wanting to sleep constantly, short of breath, feeling queasy, headaches (got bad heads in early pregnant with both DC) and not seen another period like the last 2 or so months.

Changes of being pregnant?? Anyone got pregnant on Mirena?

Sorry for the long post. I ramble on sometimes.

Seriously pop to the shops and get a cheapie and just test. You need to know either way. And yes it is possible to get pregnant with any form of contraception. The only 100% method is to not have sex. I speak as someone who was sterilised and had an ectopic.

I know someone who got pregnant with Mirena. I hope you're ok OP. Probably best to test then you know. Thanks
