It's going to be the last day of term that we fly.
First holiday abroad for a few years, I've saved like buggery for this, worked overtime, days/nights any extras I've grabbed them to pay for it.
We are really looking forward to it, but if I ring in saying they are ill, they are at different schools, would I be in big trouble and fined?
They are both 100% attendees btw.
Should I come clean or would it be ok to fib???
Worried.

what is the likely hood that the school will find out? i would go for it...you could always say they went down with the same bug

I wouldn't lie I'd just ring and say they won't be in but you don't have to give a reason. If you get fined then pay it and move on having had a lovely holiday.
