I do have 7 weeks of mat left but I am literally wondering where on earth its gone. I am gutted. Heartbroken even at the thought of rtw. And regret all the stupid time wasting things I have done....

I know I am not alone. Right?

Oh, of course you are not alone to feel sad... mat leave is very special. I promise it’s going to be ok though. I think with my first child I thought that I would stop being his mum when I rtw, but you will still have lots of time together (and I work full time) and you are presumably rtw to provide for your family which is great. And don’t think you wasted it, you were with your child, that’s all you needed to do xx

Sorry you're sad at it being over.
I would have loved to be able to say I enjoyed my mat leave so much I was upset at it ending, so on the positive side think of all the wonderful memories you have. Your time together will be even more precious now.
I had a horrific time and I'm still coming to terms with it and would love to be in your position.

Don't be sad. By returning to work you're protecting your financial independence and setting an excellent example for your DC. It's a vital and important thing you are doing.
