Mommy's touch vs. Wonderoos - vote for your fave BTP pocket??!!

Want to buy a couple of pockets as I've managed to "misplace" a whole carrier bag full of medium fuzzis that I used on DD I didn't love them but 13 fuzzis cost a lot of money.

Anyway - just looking for opinions on Mommy's Touch and tne Hip Hip Wonderoos?? Are the leg gussets better on the wonderoos? Or are mommy's touch better for a chunky lad as you can buy extenders?

Any quick opinions appreciated, as may want to take advantage of the 3 for 2 wonderoos before the end of the day

I have just changed my mind a bit now

I think Mommy's Touch are faves nowadays, and they are not at all as awkward to put on as I thought first.

Pea pods are great too, but not BTP, even though they are cheap (ish), and their customer care is amazing.

I just got the BG I ordered from the states and I'm not that impressed TBH, but must admit I haven't actually tried it on DS, just not that keen on the look of it . Maybe I will fall in love when its on DS's cute bum LOL.

But I still love the Wonderoos (have no choice as I bought so many )

nappyzone · 22/06/2007 18:07

did it take long to get from the states then and did it work out cheaper? what colour you get? you will have to try it out - its my longest lasting day nappy and on a par with fuzzis though benefits more from being b to p. is tiyr m tuch from states also as i cant wait to try the new style.

archiesmummy · 22/06/2007 18:33

It took just over a week to get here so not too bad.
The price for Bumgenius in the states is just £9 but with the postage it worked out £12, so still cheaper.
But I found somewhere over here you can buy them without insert for £12, and I'm not a fan of microfiber so that might have been better really. Although it is nice to get something from far away..

I should wash it now so I can try it out tomorrow..

archiesmummy · 22/06/2007 19:45

Ahh I see, no MT from babykind they are all the old style I'm afraid, but I like....

nappyzone · 22/06/2007 19:51

ahhh i see - was tempted by thems black and white flowers prints. I thought you must have been on a proper US spree! I have been banned from spending so when my fuzzis arrive i will just be able to touch but not buy - it will kill me! I need a print fuzzi!

archiesmummy · 22/06/2007 20:16

No prints for me, just lovely colours (I already have print MT).

No such luck about US shopping spree. I wish, but we need to buy a new carseat, so MUST STOP SPENDING.
Luckily I have a HH and of course the Swaddlebees on their way to me

AW, well dealing with 2 kids at once got easier at 5 months but napping still all over the place here! Tho he does sleep thru (from 9 weeks) which is a godsend.

Archies, I thought the bg looked disappointing too when I first received it. It is a nice fit on my boy, but the velcro tho not stiff creates a bit of a thick band round his tummy. I will def. buy more wonderoos instead. MT's look really bulky around the tummy too, are they?

archiesmummy · 22/06/2007 21:54

Everyone else seems to love bg accessorizewithbabysick (nice name btw) so I feel a bit cheated actually, but who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with them at a later date..

To be honest, MT didn't fit that well on DS before but now, at 18 months) they fit perfectly.

accessorizewithbabysick · 22/06/2007 22:40

I think they're a nice idea, the stretchy tabs. And I'll keep mine for nursery/dp but yeah not loving it either. Anyone know if they'll do 3 for 2 on wonderoos again? Didn't have any money at the time, rats.
I was indeed babysick woman today, had to change my top 4 times!

archiesmummy · 23/06/2007 10:04

LOL accessorizewithbabysick. I'm glad those days are over (for now anyway).

If anyone is still watching this thread let me just say I feel a bit gutted now.
Ordered BG from US and received it a week later only to discover I'm not loving it.

Anyway this morning I got an email saying BGs 10% off so only £13.50 from here

Flamesparrow · 23/06/2007 10:31

I didn't like my BG but I loved the idea of them... mine was the old style though

archiesmummy · 23/06/2007 10:35

I thought it might be great for DH, but think DS will just pull it off

accessorizewithbabysick · 23/06/2007 19:22

I'll keep mine for a while I think, he's quite a way off opening velcro I think. Plus in winter, he'll have to get through a vest! I'm sure it'll sell for a good price on nappy lady as they're v.hard to get hold of.
