Interested as a friend of mine was really surprised I did - I only update it every so often, ie./ if something funny has happened, with a funny quote or if a momentous event has occured (ie. chicken pox )

tell me I'm not alone - can't believe I am.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've been keeping a book since i was 14/15 and it has things ive found interesting like song lyrics, magazine clippings, photos, letters to my children, drawings, what life is like in general, I hardly ever put anything in it these days but i keep alot of stuff on the pc.

I've only done one book though so they will have to share it but i wont be giving it to them for a very long time might even wait until i die.

I kept an on-line diary (via www.babysfirstdiary.com) for my third child's first year writing in it every day - a lovely record now - they printed it all off at the end of the year.
I have special treasure boxes for each child.
Then I keep records of all the birthday presents and Christmas presents they receive.
I also have a little book where I note anything of real significance to me. There's so many things I would have forgotten if I hadn't written them down in that book!

Read somewhere a quote about parenting which said "the days are long, but the years are short". I thought it was very wise - the years will pass so quickly - unless you keep a record, it really does get forgotten. The child when they grow up might never ask about when they did this, when they said that - but if they do, at least you'll have it somewhere.

I didn't with my son but did write a letter to him from time to time at certain aspects of his life, such as leaving him whilst I went to work. General updates which are far too mushy to give on here though I am tempted.
