Childcare vouchers and tax free childcare

I'm so confused!

My and my husband both get childcare vouchers at the moment. I'm about to move jobs (in November time). My new employers does offer childcare vouchers but I'm aware I won't be able to register as a new entrant to their scheme and therefore will need to use the tax free childcare scheme instead.

My question is - will my husband still be able to use childcare vouchers or will he have to change over too?

I've googled but can't find an answer!

If he is enrolled on a scheme, and stays with his employer, there is no reason why he won't be able to continue to buy childcare vouchers as he currently is.

I might be wrong but my understanding is that if you are going to do the tax free childcare then he'd have to stop using childcare vouchers. You can use both. So either you just use his childcare vouchers and you don't get them anymore or you both stop using the vouchers and go with the tax free childcare instead.

Would your new employer allow you to register before you start? If they set it up before the deadline, even if you then don't start till the following month, then it should be ok... depends on how nice and accommodating they are!!
