Students targets for the day: anyone want to join me?.

Ok I have a 3500 word care study to complete this week. I need to get the majority of it done by tommorrow (I'm off today and tommorrow and kids in holiday club) after that I'm not going to get much time. My target for the day is:

2000 usable words not counting reference list!

I am determined, however I've already changed study venues been to shops and had dinner, crisps and cuppa and I'm worn out lol. Oh poo I need to get on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder how many words an hour that is 2000 words and I'll have to stop about 7 pm so roughly 7 hours oh my word thats about 300 words an hour hahahaha oh dear I shall, I will! here goes.

well 4 bloomin hours later and I have 500 words......500 words measley words! I was hoping for 1200ish by now. 4 hrs, 500 words, that is roughly two words a minute I think ahhhhhhhh!!!....I'm a snail! perhaps I should get off mn and do some actuwork.

I'm ignoring the fact i have revision.....

I MUST do some work tonight but I'm so tired I'm only promising to do some reading, I'm not committing myself to actually putting pen to paper...

Ok my target for today is a 1000 words perhaps my proposal of 2000 yesterday was a little extreme considering I managed a humble 600ish.....in my defence I am full of cold and have one of those coughs that doesn't go once it starts.

Hows fellow students revision, studying and reading coming along?

i've got no time, both dcs here, no-one to have them for me, no money to put them in nursery.

Read/took notes from one section of my textbook last night, spent an hour on it. But I've GOT to put pen to paper tonight which requires a bit more effort! My plan is a least an hour again tonight, although I'm hoping I get carried away and do more No chance of doing anything today with dd & ds here and shopping to do and tonights dinner to prepare...

Hi, just joined Mumsnet - love all the threads. I am trying to write my final essay for OU DD100, and have whittled away nearly the whole day, despite DH looking after DS all day! I'm just soooo useless. Wish me luck for the rest of the day!

Well by the 16th of June I wanted to have 2500 words of my 4000 word assignment done. I currently have 2800 wrods done so am feeling rather smug and happy. Started it yesterday afternoon!

Once this one is finished I only have one more proper assignment to do. Yahoo, there is a big shiney light at the end of the tunnel.

Please tell me your secret. I suppose not checking the messages on MN all the time might help me. LOL.

The secret is to go to the greasy spoon, turn off your mobile, ignore all the people you know who just so happened to pop in and wanted a chat.......... and get on with it! Worked for me today. I've done half of my essay. Hoping to do the other half tonight as I will be away from home, therefore no internet access and no phone. Writing in long hand is good for ye olde memory and great practise for the written exam!

I did 700 words today on the history of the interpresation of Jesus parables! Just 1800 to go on that one.

I have 3 other essays by the start of the week after next.
