Formula question

Ok so I am new to the formula world and need some questions answering. My DS has just started to make the transition to formula and we are about to go on holiday so my question is, what do I do on the go at the airport? Usually I make his formula feeds up with the perfect prep machine so I never have to worry about the temperature, it’s just good to go but I won’t have that with me!
I have just ordered a milk powder dispenser and I’m guessing I just make the bottles up with only the sterile water until I need to add the powder? By the time DS will have the bottle in the airport, the water will inevitably have lost its warmth so what do I do then? Can he have it anyway and I don’t have to heat it or?
Sorry, first time parent and have not got a clue 🙈 TYIA! Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

They sell them because people use them to make up formula with cold boiled water. Just because something is against safety guidelines, it doesn't mean that it gets immediately banned or that everyone stops doing it. They still sell cot bumpers too and market tiny duvet and pillow sets for newborns, even though they say they are a cot death risk these days.

Of course you could technically make it up from the pots with a thermos and still be within guidelines.

So what I did was take a flask of boiling water and 2 bottles and the formula powder dispenser. For an 8oz bottle I added 2 oz of boiling water to a bottle, then the powder and then topped it up with 6oz of cold water. You have to be careful to not just fill the bottle up to 8oz as the powder adds some volume, but after a while of doing this I figured out just to fill it up to the 9oz line. It’s defintely a faff though. Or get boiling water from cafe etc.

At this point my baby was only on 4 bottles a day so it was v unlikely we’d need more than one for a trip out. In cases like traveling I bought the premade little cartons, but I still had to warm it up as he wouldn’t drink it room temp.

Or alternatively boil some water and leave in fridge for the next day then take bottle of this cold water with you and a flask of hot water. Make bottles with a tiny bit of boiling water in bottom with formula and shake then top up with the cold water to make perfect drinking temp without any flash cooling needed and can be done when out and about. Think if I was going away though I’d order it at the pharmacy like one pp suggested and maybe take the ready made bottles for before going through security.

Just read pp’s About measuring in separate bottle until you know where to fill to then you can just use the one.
