Does your baby sleep through or still have any night feeds?

What are they sleeping in just now? Cot? Moses?

If sleeping through in same bed they will be in in their own room, the best advice is just get a baby monitor and go for it. If still waking then make a plan of what you will do when the baby wakes i.e. bring them back to your room to feed then down in their own bed, or feed in their room.

Make sure room temp is the same and any sounds like fan etc that are currently in your room are mirrored in their own room so they don't feel it is much different. Spend time playing in their room during the day to get them used to it. HTH.

Just get the monitor sorted and do it, I used to go in once in the night if she woke but she actually slept better in her room (maybe because she didn't have to listen to us snoring).

Just done this last night with my 8 month old! Made sure for a few days before we played in his room a lot so he got used to the surroundings. He is in the same cot as he was in our room so I think that helped. Started off with naps and he slept as normal last night.

My 9mo has been in his own room since 6mo and he has slept so much better since he has been on his own. Naps are longer and he nearly sleeps through the night (one night fed which is a massive improvement). Honestly don’t think he ever noticed a difference me not being there.
