Looking for positives- new job after being at home for 13 years

I've been at home with the dc for the last 13 years. Now have a job that I will be starting full time. Will also have and hour commute each way. I'm excited about the job, I get to do a fair bit of on the job training and exams.
After being at home for so long I'm nervous about the impact on us as a family and the kids. So was looking for others who have returned to work after being at home for years and how this has worked out for you?

Have excellent childcare in place for youngest dc who isn't in school yet. My husband has requested flexible working so he will collect dc from school and baby from childminder. I intend to get a cleaner and batch cook. Anyone have any other tips or suggestions to make the transition as smooth as possible? Thanks

Lay out all kids clothes in advance for the week and inc underwear, shoes
Lay out all your things in advance too
Pack bags,make lunches night before
Charge phones, laptops overnight and pop in handbag,so all yiu do is unplug from charger. That way no items forgotten left on charge
