Can't keep on top of the drying! Do these balls work!?

Hey all,

Drying clothes is costing me a fortune in this weather as we have small children and limited uniforms! Our DD is allergic to softeners so I found these branded Dryer Balls here:

www.amazon.co.uk/Organic-Environment-Softener-Handmade-naturally/dp/B07BF82RH8/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=grocery&s&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1523137692 r=1-1&keywords=Klaisen&dpID&dryer&balls&wool=41qUk33YP 2L&preST=SX300QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Can't find much feedback on them and just wondered if they work? They seem a decent price and I was wondering if they really do fluff clothes and reduce drying time? Does anyone use them?

Cheers!

Tried something simular wasn't impressed personally - I know daytime tv segments rave about them though.

Hmm, well I did order them so we'll see how they go!

The best thing to help with clothes drying is a decent dehumidifier. And I use white vinegar instead of softener.

We use dryer balls and I think they’re great. I drop a few drops of essential oil on them and the washing smells lovely as well as being dried quickly - especially good for bedding and towels.

We have these ones:

they shorten drying times a little. where they really make a difference is softness of clothes.
wrt drying time, an extra spin in the washer makes the most difference.

They're fantastic!! Grin

The Klaisen balls arrived first thing this morning (do love Amazon!) added a few drops of Essential Oils as suggested and the clothes are super soft! I cut the drying time by 15 mins on this cycle and the load was dry too.

No more rashes for DD from liquids hopefully now! Should save a good few ££ Smile

Silly question but do they go in the washing machine or the dryer?

The Klaisen ones you can stick all 6 of them in the normal dryer or a washer dryer. They work AMAZING if you use some essential oils with them. We used lavender oil but that was only because we actually were given a vial ages ago.

If you're using them regularly I was told buying two sets of them was a good idea as they need time to dry out between cycles (due to absorbing the moisture) and I think that was a top tip to be fair.
