My 5 year old dd is doing really well with her reading, she reads all the time and seems pretty fluent and is devouring all the books at home. I thought she might like to have some longer books to read now. Has anyone got any recommendations? TIA

kitty - a good thing to help your child get into books that are a LITTLE challenging for them to read alone is to get one of teh story tapes or DVDs from the library. Then when they read another book in teh same series they will be familiar with teh style / characters and it will be easier for them

most of the books mentioned here are available on tape AFAIK
