I'm not arrogant enough to think that anyone would recognise my user name but life has been full of challenges lately with health issues for ds1, financial issues, DH suffering from mild depression and more.

Today has been particularly tough. Not sure why, just my head space hasn't been there.

This is week 8 out of 12 of having Saturdays to myself (plus mon-fri) and this morning I've cleaned the kitchen while ds1 was in his highchair and ds2 in the bouncy chair. Both boys dressed. 14 month old is napping in his cot, 9 week old velcro baby is napping in the sling. I've had breakfast and a drink (this is a major one) and I've made a massive stack of banana pancakes for ds1 to last the week. To add to that yesterday I also managed to do two chapters of study towards my next exam. I'm also doing all night but wakings single handedly because ds2 is ebf (after not being able to bf ds1 this feels like another massive win).

Massive win today after a tough tough week. I love life with a 12 month age gap but wow, sometimes it does get to me.

Anyone else having a good Saturday?

My son just went down for a nap in his cot with only me holding his hand. The little turd used to fall asleep on his own but we have regressed (again!) and nap times are back to being a battle. Now all we have to work on is keeping him asleep for longer than 25 minutes...

Well that's more than I have achieved today.21mo gap here, no idea how you manage 12mo!

@Kittysparks1 that's awesome! I used to bloody hate it when my eldest regressed. Luckily we're in a good patch lately.

Today started on great highs and will end on great lows. Perils of having two babies.

It's nearly bedtime and DS2 has behaved perfectly all day.

My dd ate all her scrambled egg with very little prompting and NO bribing with ketchup. This is a MAJOR win for me. Hardly ate anything all day and egg is never a great choice. But today it was the winner Star
