I have got one of each, a boy then a girl. When we found out at the 20 wk scan our second was gonna be a girl i was really happy. But then at other times i feel sad that DS didn't get a brother to play with.

Just interested to hear other peoples experiences

i hate when pregnant with third people said but why,you already have one of each.it doesnt matter!!

I have one of each, but they're still so little that the gender difference doesn'tstop them playing with each other or being "in tune".
I also get annoyed when people imagine that the only reason I wouldn't have more is because I have "one of each". I would like a third baby - don't mind whether a boy or a girl.

Have 1 of each. Would have slightly preferred a girl before ds was born (cos I know more about girls - or so I thought) but then liked having ds so much would have slightly preferred a boy before dd was born. As it happens, the combination is great and would not have it any other way. If ds had had a brother I think they would have competed with each other until one of them keeled over. Ds and dd are different enough that while they are both competitive it is possible for them both to win!

I have 2 boys 8 and 3 who adore each other and a little girl 11 months who they are both very disinterested in !!!!!!

I think in the end they will adore her 2 and fight

There is no 'better'.

NotanOtter · 09/05/2007 09:38

i have four boys and a girl

She nitpicks who is in favour and bullies the boys

she worships the young two an is vicious to the olders....they all mix up regardless of gender..personality is more important imo

squidette · 09/05/2007 09:41

There is no 'better', just different.

Whether they are boys or girls, they are still people who will either get on or not. Or both, depending on age, circumstance, side of the bed they get out of. Just like all of us.

Got two the same and its great being able to pass DS2's clothes on to DS2. They also like the same sorts of games (car, trains etc). I never really wanted a girl so was very happy to get two boys.
