Best coconut oil for baby eczema (or other natural alternatives)

My LO is 4 months old and has mild eczema on his chest. GP has prescribed paraffin cream but I’d like to try some natural alternatives first as I’m reluctant to slather my baby in something highly flammable.

I’ve heard good things about coconut oil but know there is a wide range in quality available.

Can anyone recommend anything?

Hi

My 7 month old has eczma on his arms. Legs and head.
We tried a few things and found childs farm bath wash and the moisturiser worked really well. You can get it most places. Boots. Asda. Superdrug.
I have really dry skin and use it occasionally as well. X

Oats wrapped in a muslin cloth and tied to the tap as bath is being run , so that the bundle is directly under the flow of water. Or alternatively just place the secured bundle of oats in the bath itself. I’ve found this really soothes my sons eczema.

Coconut oil is pore blocking, it’s best kept to a wok

Weleda baby calendula range was always so gentle on dds skin. All natural and very gentle.

Thanks all, much food for thought! I’ve found stopping daily baths has already helped hugely and will check out the products you suggest
