Why are we turning so many kids off sport?

I would have to place the blame also on the sporty (or so he thinks) shouting from the sidelines Dad who wants his child to win at all costs. Any player whom he does not think fits the bill should be out of the team never to return.

I hated school PE. It was torture and the only lesson where kids had the licence to bully. I think its good that PE teachers have degrees and proper teacher qualifications. I hope the sadistic PE lessons are a thing of the past.

Just because someone is talented at sport, doesnt make them good at teaching it. I think that PE should be part of the school curriculum because there are a lot of parents who can't afford to take their kids swimming every week or pay for judo/ gymnastics/ tennis.

After school activites should be open to ALL children not just the gifted. We have a health timebomb in this country because children do not do enough exercise.
