DD somehow managed to deposit some on the carpet when she used the potty. I've just thrown some bicarbonate of soda on it and left the scene. Am now wondering what the next step is.

Ooooh, MeanBean, why bicarb? I have this mental picture of a fizzing, hissing, expanding pile of poo. Scrape up what you can with a knife, get youself some 1001 and a roll of paper towels, and set to work. Good luck

Carla, you've now given me this mental picture of exploding fizzy poo - am not sure I'm ready to go back into the room again!

Go for it girl - just think, can't be any worse than wiping it from a bottom ....

I'm sorry I missed this! I know this one.

You pick up the poo and flush it (sounds obvious, but if you set it aside, it can be repicked and smooshed elsewhere). Take some dry paper towels (not toilet tissue, it disintegrates) and gently wipe up. Push it down, but don't push the poo down. Try a gently up-sweeping motion: like you're picking a cherry.

Have a good look. Have you removed all the solids? If yes, continue. If no, repeat.

Take a good carpet spot cleaner. Use as directed, twice. Don't smell! Wait until tomorrow to smell. If you can remember where it was, then smell. If necessary, use Febreeze.

Let dry and get a nice drink of wine, even if it's 8am.

Funny story....

My dd did the most enormous liquid poo whilst in her doorway bouncer! I myself was out of the room for a minute and came back to find that she had very daintily used her feet to decorate my carpet in a lovely poo pattern.....and we were running last to go out for lunch......very messy and sadly it stained it mustard yellow.....now we're on solids things have improved consistency wise!

mit x - I really am off to bed now!
