Does one give a gift to nursery staff at Christmas?

Hi all

First time parent here.

I understand that it is usual to give a present to a child's primary school teacher at Christmas time.

My DS (20 months) is at nursery and this will be his first Christmas there.

What is the etiquette on giving a gift to nursery staff at Christmas time?

DS has a key worker but there are also 2/3 other members of staff who regularly look after him.

Box of biscuits/chocolates for the staff room. I’ve never done individual presents for key workers.

I do a gift for key workers, mainly because both have been absolutely incredible. So I spend £5-10 on them, then a box of chocolates for everyone else to share.

I just made a little food hamper for them. Biscuits, tea/coffee, chocolates, in a little basket for them to share.

The staff in the rooms (baby/toddler/preschool) change around so often I never know which staff are currently in ds' room- so I buy a small identical gift for every staff member.
A box of chocs or bottle of wine, there's usually 8-10 members of staff.
Working in care myself, I know how even a small token can mean a lot to someone, and help them feel appreciated in such low paid work.
