How is the sizing of M&S kids clothes?

Just about to order some things for DD from M&S (no M&S nearby unfortunately)

She’s almost 3 and fits comfortably into 2-3 clothes from most brands. I’m ordering polo shirts and black trousers for nursery which she starts next month.

Not sure if I should order 2-3 or 3-4? Something is telling me their clothes come up small?

I've got a skinny tall girl and I can buy a size down to fit her waist. The legs are ridiculously long so she still fits them 1-2 years later

Thank you - she has a hoody which is getting a bit small and it’s 2-3 from M&S but maybe it’s just the style

I would go 3-4 in joggers at least to try. I tumble dry them and they always shrink a bit I find so you need them to be slightly too big initially.

Bought several clothes 0-12 months and they can be smaller than other shops I find.
