Eeeek! Noticed this morning a thick crusty patch on my 2yo head. Looks like cradle cap but he never had it even he was little...is this possible?

Put olive oil on it for 15 mins and lifted one of the crusts and all the hair is coming away too... even though it lifted v. Easily!

Is baldness a foregone conclusion now? Should I leave the crusts or is the hair doomed regardless!

Advise desperately needed before bath time...its taken 2.5 yrs for him to have enough hair for a trim last week a d now he's going to have bald patches again!Blush

Very much possible. My DS (6) never had cradle cap until he was five - when unnoticed a large patch on his head (tbh it might of been there a while, he has a huge mop of long blonde hair and it wasn't noticeable tbh). My DD (2) had it once as a baby but it went but has come back recently at two. I put it down to a change of shampoo or my OH not washing their shampoo out properly when he bathes them. Who knows..

I have been seeing Dentinox cradle cap shampoo with my DD (also 2). It was unavailable for a while but have recently bought a bottle of Asda! It smells lush and seems to work. So maybe worth grabbing a bottle!

Thanks! I'll try and pick some up. I resisted picking the crusty bits (which was hard as I'm a right sporner) as I don't want to leave him with bald patches and just washed the olive oil out.

The thing is I'm almost certain it wasn't there a week ago...how quickly does it come? Some of the scabs are quite large!
