Alton towers with 4 children aged 9 to 12

I'm thinking of taking my 4 children to alton towers next week (on an inset day to hopefully avoid queues) but trying to weigh up whether it will be worth the expense (£146) taking into account their ages, heights, etc..

The oldest are 11 and 12, will be keen to go on most things and are above the 1.4m height restriction for roller coaster. But I'm not sure i would be happy for them to go on rides in their own. The younger 2 are 9 and 10 and both below the height restriction for the roller coasters. I dont think cbeebies land will appeal as they've grown out of that sort of thing.

Looking at the rides and reviews it seems there isn't much for their age group, especially since the log flume is currently closed.

Does anyone have advice that would be useful please in helping me to decide whether it's worth the money? And especially whether I should let older 2 go on rides together without me? Smile

Spinball whizzer, runaway minetrain, congo river rapids, enterprise, battle gallions,

over 1.3m can go on Thirteen

personally I would by some fastracks, but does mean a bit more money! www.altontowers.com/theme-park/extras/fastrack/#packages
