So proud of DD last night...

Hope you don't mind just indulging me here!

Last night we took DD (age 2y 3m) to the school production - where I work - of Grease. It was quite late so I was a bit concerned she'd get tored and grumpy. But she was a star the whole time. We sat near the front on ailse seats and Mollie spent the entire show in the aisle dancing and singing along with every number, and sat on floor entraced in the talking bits. She tried to copy all the dances and enjoyed herself from start to finish. She even blew kisses at the lad who played Danny And I had to keep hold of the sash on her dress to ensure her dancing didn't lead her too close to the actual stage at times! But she never got close enough to spoil the show for anyone (promise).

She was so enthralled by it all.

So many people stopped us in the interval and after the show to say how fantastically well they thought DD had behaved and conducted herself, and how adorable they found her. Even my head master stopped to chat and say how proud we should be of her.

She really was a star last night and I couldn't wait until the next bragging day to tell everyone just how proud of her we were! It's night's like that that really make me realise how great being a mummy is!!!

If she goes on this way looks like DH and me may be going to a few more shows in the future!!! Bless her.

Looking into taking DD to see the actual stage show of Grease this autumn as it is ciming to the theatre here. Thought she'd love to see a matinee performance!

Anyway, boasting over I promise. Just wanted to let it all out!

I would definitely recommend the show anyway - love it! The kids at school were really good and did so well - will be telling them how proud I was of them in class next week

Desperate to take Dd to the Sheffield performance - I think it is on at the start of October this year.

I have taken DD only to see children's theatre so far - Wheels on the Bus and Barney. But she has loved both of them, Have to go more often!
