Seriously looking rough and have aged lots since having dc3 who is 7 months. Now I have 3 kids will I ever get better looking (e.g. Back to normal) or is this it my looks have gone?

I'm average looking never been a beauty but I was confident in my appearance. I feel old and I look it. People only ever comment on how tired I look, which I expect at this point but I'm getting lines etc now. My skin is very sensitive now too. Can't wear make up anymore. Also not time or energy to exercise like I did with 1 or 2.

When my children are all in school will I look a bit better?

Stories please?!!! Give me hope!

It's not so much the children, as lack of sleep past a certain age
If you're under 35, it's probably temporary. After 35, put your faith in water and serums and cross your fingers Smile

Positive story, my sister had three within 4 yrs, youngest is now 10 and she has looked pretty damn good for at least the past 6 yrs.
Mine are 2 and 4 and things aren't looking to great at the moment for me Shock Smile

I thought I had a brief bounce back after DC3 but when I stopped breast feeding her I suddenly aged terribly! And put on all the baby weight I had fought off back on again. However this did coincide with turning 35 for me so perhaps it was inevitable 😊

I am not giving up hope, doing Weight Watchers and revamping my skin care regime. I get a bit of a fright when I look in the mirror but my three DC were worth it and I am glad I am still here to see them grow up.

In my group of close friends from school (so we're all the same age) the 3 of us with DC definitely look older than the 3 without.

The child-free include a junior doctor and a solicitor so they hardly have stress free lives either.

Ah well.

I have 3, the youngest is 3.5 now. Sleep is considerably better now so I have stopped looking like a zombie film extra. Baby weight has dropped off, if I could find time for exercise then things wouldn't be half bad. I have lots more grey hair though.

There's always vampire facelifts (she says brightly).

Watching with interest. I had dc3 6 weeks ago. My skin is fucked and my hair has gone weird, probably because it's all getting ready to fall out.

I hope that link works - someone shared on my timeline, I actually cried laughing

Mine are 7, 5 and just turned 1 with dc4 due October.

I recently told a friend who doesn't have dc that I felt like someone had taken my pre dc body and put it in the microwave for a few minutes so everything melted a bit.
I have a cupboard full of lotions and potions but don't even get time to pee alone so "maintenence" will have to wait.
I did look alright again before dc3, nail varnish and everything so agree it's a sleep/time thing.
Good luck everyone x

Thanks Londonista! She needs to do a section on wrinkles! I can't decided if it's because I'm getting older, forgetting to drink any fluids during the because I'm so busy or that the 2 drinks I definetly have are coffee (x1 am) or G&T (x1 pm - bang on bedtime!)

So funny isn't it.

My mum actually gave me some useful advice when my youngest was born. Haemorrhoid cream under the eyes. Have you ever seen those "magic miracle wrinkle vanishing cream" ads? It's bum cream!
I swear by it, couple of dabs under the eyes each morning and I look slightly less like I've been punched in the face (tbf sometimes the 5 yo has actually punched me in the face Hmm)
