I actually wrote feedback to our nappy provider complaining about the name Motherease. Especially inappropriate as I rarely go near a nappy myself, it's DP's area. I got a nice reply from the nappy people but they didn't agree to change the name.

I thought it was called motherease becuase that's the language mums tends to talk to babies in - that sing song over emphasising voice. I understood that medical professionals had coined the term "speaking motherease" (like chinese/portuguese etc). But agree, that in the case of nappy changing it kind of reinforces the stereotype.

I would advise all haters of irritating nappy names to under no circumstances click on this link. Ever. Just don't.

my poor ds i put him to play on his tummy (hes 5 month) and he looks like hes going swimming!! legs in the air balancing on his nappy! lol, must remember to take the nappy off first!!
