a crushed sweaty daisy - is that the kind of thing you mean?

deffo- things that non-parent people would frown at as they expect boxes of chocs and huge bunches of flowers!

I haven't opened mine yet but its's a Borders bag, look like a book and feels like a book. I'd be amazed if it turned into a diamond!!!! But since DH just left the country for 10 weeks the fact he got round to buying anything is very impressive!

I got a handmade pottery hedgehog, lovingly painted in a delicate shade of brown, beautifully wrapped and be-ribboned by a 7 year old DS .... in fact it just looks like a large brown turd and gives me the heebie-jeebies whenever I catch a glimpse of it, nestling on my bedside table

Apparantly I am getting a piggy bank
But Shh its a secret don't tell anyone.
I do keep telling the kids we need to save money

Orlando....why not put it in the bathroom when you have visitors!!! My MIL still Has her son's attempt at pottery (a rather wobbly mug/cup/vase???) on show!

OrlandoTheMarmaladeCat · 16/03/2007 20:11

Good thinking Suzie! But some well-meaning visitor might drop it down the loo and then I'd have to retrieve it. Perhaps I'll get DS to prepare a little name tag to go around its neck, something like "I'm Henry, the HEDGHEHOG" just in case people weren't sure...

orlando, good thinking with the tag! Definetly one to keep for when your son brings his first girlfriend round!
