Boys ages 14, 14 but with some Sen, and 11. Girl aged 12. All have mobile phones, parents are sober but out of the house on the other side of town. Options please? (Please not this is Parenting, not AIBU)

Teeenager with SEN is fully verbal and predictable, but has poor focus on unwanted tasks

I would if it was not at night and the children had reliable neighbours who could help if there was any problems

Hard to know without knowing the children and their interactions.
I've been leaving my now 14 & 11 yo boys together home on their own for a few hours for at least a couple of years now.

If you have to ask I'd say no. I'd need to be sure myself.

Brighteyes27 · 01/04/2017 15:44

Same if you need to ask I'd say no and if 14 year old SEN.

clary · 01/04/2017 15:57

Good grief yes it's fine.

StrangeAndUnusual · 01/04/2017 16:01

I used to babysit other children for longer than that when I was 13. I think the parent's judgment is the guide - they should know their children well enough to decide.

pinkmagic1 · 01/04/2017 16:02

Yes, they are plenty old enough, depending on the sen of course.
