Challenge ; Who can find the cheapest place selling popper bamboozles?

tutu100 · 27/02/2007 14:13

Need to buy some more popper bamboozles. My search skills are rubbish. The cheapest I can find them is 9.25 each. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get them cheaper. If you do it would be very much appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

i can get them for £8 each, plus postge dependant on quantity! let me know if you're interested.

Piffle · 27/02/2007 14:28

ebay or nappy lady classifieds good place to start

Jillyadoodledoo · 27/02/2007 14:29

I am considering some popper bamboozles too - don't mean to hijack, but you have some already? What do you think of them?

i use a mixture of aplix and popper bamboozles and both are great for different reasons- the popper ones are toddler proof and can be used from birth to potty.

bobsmum · 27/02/2007 14:58

I had nippa bamboozles until this morning , when Totsbots sent me them back re-velcro'd for free.

They would have poppered them for free, so you could find some nippa bamboozles going cheap - as they're discontinued this might be quite easy - and then send them off to tots to be poppered for nowt!

Mine were back within a week of being posted!

Jillyadoodledoo · 27/02/2007 15:00

Bobsmum - did you not have to provide a receipt? Would I be OK with ones not bought from totsbots themselves (I really am hijacking this now, sorry sorry sorry!)

tutu100 · 27/02/2007 15:41

hi, nearlythere where are the bamboozles from and are they new? I have to get poppered ones because ds has developed a sensitivity to aplix ones and the out of all the popper nappies I have I am most happy with the bamboozles.

bobsmum · 27/02/2007 15:46

Jilly - I just put in a covering letter with my preference of velro rather than popper and my name and address.

It's technically a product recall due to the bamboo fabric not allowing a nippa to fasten after a while, so they are obliged to fix them no matter where you got them from.

Jillyadoodledoo · 27/02/2007 15:48

Ahh - I have a load of size 1 nippa ones, which seem to have shrunk alot but still hold Nippa fine, and I was thinking of getting them applix'd or popper'd before selling them.

Thanks for that.

nearlythere · 27/02/2007 16:33

i'm a totsbots retailer! So they are new, not seconds or anything else dodgy! Only thing is that due to manufacturing delays it could be two weeks before my next batch arrive!

tutu100 · 27/02/2007 17:01

That's great but really I need to find some before then. Tots Bots always seem to have delays? Why is that? But If I can't find any quicker I will be in touch.

OP posts:
bobsmum · 27/02/2007 17:11

I think although Totsbots have really taken off in the last 3/4 years, it's really not that long ago that they were being made up on a kitchen table - maybe they're still a smallish operation? THey're still just a unit on a Glasgow industrial estate- could do with some of their dosh though

nearlythere · 28/02/2007 09:57

i agree bobsmum! we try to keep stock of most things but large orders or unusual combinations that have to be ordered in for customers take forever! They did promise that in the new year the delays would be under control- but we're still waiting! meanwhile they are winning awards left right and centre so demand is rising!
the last excuse we had was that the fabric had been held up in customs!

tutu100 · 28/02/2007 12:53

nearlythere what is your website if you have one?

OP posts:
nearlythere · 28/02/2007 13:06

no website as yet- we are a small shop in west wales! info at littlejackhornersdotcodotuk if you need me!

tutu100 · 28/02/2007 16:18

thanks maybe in touch but need to sell some of the old nappies first. they are advertised on the for sale board if anyone is interested.

makesachange · 28/02/2007 19:38

Sorry - my turn to hijack.

Nearlythere - absolutely the same problem with Tots. Drives me mad. In the meantime if you're looking for Bamboo nappies have you tried the Bambineos/Wambamboos?

We're just bringing them out in shop packs of 15 nappies, bamboo (not cotton!) PUL wraps, liners and instructions in a great little box, plus trial packs also in branded box, with retail support POS material.

Let me know if you need more info - we wholesale them.

makes a change are bambenio going to statr doing popper fixings. I'd love to try them, but like I say ds seems to have developed a sensitivity to aplix and I just can't get the hang of a nappy nippa. The bamboo wraps sound very interesting. Have you tried one yet?

OP posts:
nearlythere · 01/03/2007 10:39

ooh makesachange- sounds fab!! I've virtually had it with tots the only reason i'm still stocking them is their flexible but downright unorganised invoicing and online payments system- i often withold payment for the previous order until the next order is dispatched as otherwise you could be waiting months!

I'll check out your site and get in touch- love the sound of bamboo wraps even if i'm slightly confused!

snugglebumnappies · 01/03/2007 11:20

Glad it's not just me who is having a nightmare with Tots, I find them the most unreliable company to work with, they really don't seem to give two hoots that they tell you one delivery date for wholsale orders then change it, am now waiting 5 weeks for an order that I was told would take 3, am mighty pissed off as I ordered extra stuff for a baby fair I am attending this weekend and am now going to be low on Tots foe the fair but overstocked afterwards, arghhh. I never get email updates about their products, always hear stuff via other retailers or on forums.
Nearly, how do you withold payment via the website? Mine seems to be taken as soon as order is dispatched.

Geobel, who make the Wambamboo are very near to me and I keep meaning to sort out a supply from them, have just got some gorgeous Baby Beehind one size Bamboo nappies in, they are so nice I have snaffled away some for DC3 who is now three days overdue

makesachange · 01/03/2007 11:24

Hi,

Poppered Bambineos MAY be forthcoming at some point. I would like to get some done, for sure. We're looking into it at the moment. I will find out if I can get some samples done...!

Our bamboo wraps are currently out for testing with some of our agents. They don't really look any different to cotton wraps, but they do have the advantage of being anti-fungal and anti-bacterial like the nappies!

Bye for now,

Emma

nearlythere · 01/03/2007 11:28

they have a netsuite site and you should do all your ordering etc through that- they invoice me through netsuite the day the goods are dispatched. You then have to log on to make the payment with your card- so i just ring them and let them know it will be done when the next order is dispatched! Cruel i know but it keeps my orders ticking over that little bit faster! If i didn't, i dread to think aboput how long i'd be waiting!

snugglebumnappies · 01/03/2007 11:35

I see, I think they just use my card details that are stored, so if I take them off the system they wont be able to do that, good idea!

makesachange · 01/03/2007 11:45

Snuggle, we wholesale WBB/Bambineos - you can buy from either Geobel or us.

Emma

makesachange · 01/03/2007 13:11

Tutu - your wish is my command

Samples of poppered Bambineos going to be in production shortly! If they're a success they'll go as a standard product.
