Baby girl with discharge? (TMI photo!)

Since birth my 2 year old has had occasional vaginal discharge. There's no real regularity, it doesn't seem to be linked to teething or sickness or anything, no bad smell, no redness or irritation or pain, just appears to be a random very occasional 1 nappy occurrence. It's happened maybe a dozen times in just over 2 years. Her big sister never had this, should I be concerned?

My DD had similar a few times when she was first born, they said it was my hormones coming out as a sort of mini period. At 2 though I would be getting it looked at just in case of any kind of infection... Maybe ring 111?

Sorry, somehow managed to post this twice! Tried to edit but went wrong! Apologies! 😊

She had a fair bit when she was born which was normal (but again her sister didn't have it) but yes, this is 2 years on.

No real advice here but I'd say the same as above, doesn't seem to look sinister but getting it checked out can't hurt even just to know why, It must be ok if she's had it multiple times and seems fine.

Are you breastfeeding? Mine gets hormonal spots on her face to match mine so they clearly get a good dose of hormones that way. I am not an HCP so do get it checked out if you're worried.

Actually yes I am still feeding! I hadn't thought to see if there was any link to my hormones but that might be something. I think I might need to get her to the GP for a check over, or at least as the HV. I'm not a fan of my GP, they seem pretty useless on most things and I was going to switch in the new year.

Let us know how you get on, if you get no joy with gp maybe try a walk in?

Good luck!
