What do you do with your older babies/young toddlers all day?

DS2 is 11 months and I'm starting to feel like he's bored
He can walk (and run and climb 🙄) and has the attention span of a goldfish, and tbh he spends most of his day just wandering around the house

I see on Instagram all these mums doing all sorts of educational and sensory activities with their babies and I feel awfully guilty but when I've tried to do the odd thing he just wanders off

What do you do with your older baby/young toddler all day? I need some (realistic) inspiration

I aim to do one 'thing' a day, so a usual day consists of some indoor play (trains, duplo etc), dog walks, a bit of CBeebies and other household stuff like helping me put things in the washing machine... Then one of these 'things' as an activity:
Go to the park for the swings and slide
Go to town for a wander
Go to the woods
Play in the garden with the water (big brush and we 'wash' things toys)
Go to the pet shop to look at rabbits
See grandparents
Colouring
Etc etc

Some extra ideas would be welcome!
I try to keep it realistic, I won't be making my own smelly play dough or sensory spaghetti anytime soon! Haha!

To be honest we just pottered around between the house, park and shops. DS is 2 now and only now showing an interest in play doh, painting etc. We did a bit of sensory stuff at a year old with bowls of porridge oats etc but his attention span and motor skills just werent that good.

Remember people stage stuff for Instagram; what you see isn't reality. Mine have always done whatever I'm doing with me, so often sit next to me while I'm cooking and help with laundry. I do read a lot of books and every morning try to go somewhere, whether that be playgroup/park/farm. Some days we only do the school run and the local Sainsbury's

At that age, I stuck to a routine: one short outing in the morning, nothing exciting, a trip to the shops, a walk round the block , things like that, just to get out of the house and give DS a chance to get some daylight and exercise. In the afternoon, if we didn't have any specific plans like going to softplay etc., I'd go to the park.
I'd do some housework in the morning after breakfast and DS would entertain himself. They really don't need much stimulation at that age!

From around that age we got up and out to do something in the morning. E.g. Toddler group, rhyme time, park, woods, beach, play date, shopping etc. Then home for lunch and nap. Then quieter afternoons at home playing/chores/pottering/playdoh/crafts.

We still stick to that now and DS is 2.4yo and I have a 5mo DD.

We used to go for lots of trips to the shops or park.

I used to sit her in the wash basket at home and tie a belt to it and pull her along making train noises- got old for me very fast, sadly not so for DD.

"Drawing", furniture climbing, hammering her xylophone, playing with balloons (miraculously never burst one) and bubbles, letting her loose in the pots and pans cupboard.

I once got all pinteresty and made cloud dough- she got bored after about 15mins but not before getting it EVERYWHERE. Thanks a lot pinterest.
