oooooooh

she is a bit mad - a horse whisperer type person who works on stud farms and the like

sunnywong · 25/01/2007 12:53

ahhh.... she must live in The Hills then

foxinsocks · 25/01/2007 12:55

think she is staying on a farm at the moment (with vet boyfriend). They are both S African so will go back to Cape Town in a few months to join the rest of the fox family .

So are you in Australia permanently then?

sunnywong · 25/01/2007 12:56

yes, in it for the long haul
so are you in SA?
they call it Little SA here, absolutely crawling with them

foxinsocks · 25/01/2007 13:01

no, I'm the only one (in my family) over here (UK) - one sister and my parents live in Cape Town, rest of that side of family in Jhb. Other sister in Perth and a bit of family in Brisbane. Have been to Perth and Brisbane (when I lived in SA). It's such an easy hop over from SA to Perth and when you get there, the countryside and even the signposts and the like look almost exactly the same as SA.

Lots of my friends from university (UCT) ended up in Australia and the UK but in the last couple of years, when they've started having children, almost all of them have gone back to SA which I must admit, has surprised me.

So it's all your husband's family over there is it?

I remember thinking that when I brought my eldest home from hospital. I kept thinking; "where's the grown up, I have no idea what to do, how can I possibly look after a baby?!"
Slightly more chilled about it now & my children are the only blood relatives I've ever seen & they both look just like me, which is fab!

i have the welsh dark hair and dark eyes celtic look about me - dh is blone and blue eyed.

dd1 is ash blonde with green eyes and dd2 is white blonde with blue eyes. Suprisingly dd1 was born with a mop of black hair and so looked like her mum and her hair just got lighter and lighter.

Although apparently I was fair haired when younger and my hair just got darker and darker.

both girls have that lovely english skin though rather than the easy to tan olivy skin like I have.
