my nappies (well dd3) smell after washing.

have just done a cold rinse before washing. now do i do a 40 or 60degree wash next, shal i rish small amout of soap power or just add some soda crystals.

cant wait till the weather warms up and i can hang them to dry outside and air a bit.

I put mine through the rinse cycle of the machine with about 60mls distilled white vinegar, then wash at 40 or 60, depending on how dirty they were. Alternatively, just put the vinegar in the fabric softener compartment and wash as normal this works just as well. Dd is teething, and her nappies smell horrid when I take them off her, but the vinegar seems to do the trick. I find pre-rinsing helps with stains rather than smells.

My nappies were a bit niffy a while ago, I put them through on a 90 degree wash - I figured that just the once wouldn't do them any harm! They came out smelling fine.
