Put newborn in a sling and prepare the days snacks. Hmm

when preparing bottle, prepare snack at the same time (along with something for you) and sit down together. make it a family mini meal. sounds to me like toddler wants a bit of reassurance and a share of your attention. snacks include sliced fruit, yoghurt, breadsticks, and even a biscuit if you're in a rush. whatever is at hand.

I think Angelik has given you a great suggestion - don't wait for him to ask for a snack, offer it automatically when you're feeding the newborn!
